hi all, im new to the forums and thought i would say hi and introduce myself.

i started sketching when i was about 8 (mostly half naked women from the newspaper) they werent very good, i keapt them in a book that i hid from my parents, my dad found the book but wasnt mad, i was embarassed though and didnt really do any seriouse drawing until about 22 (2 years ago). i got me some decent paper and pencils and found i was okay at drawing portraits so i continued with them for awhile until they began to bore me and then started to draw cars which is fast becoming my main passion now.


this was one of my early attempts at portraits,

They are great, all of them. I can understand you wanting to change subject matter. Have you tried colored pencil as well?

never tried color yet, i have seen some amazing work done with pencils, but it looks alot harder to achieve a realistic look with color and that alone kinda scares me away from even attempting it.
