I just found a piece of art, what looks like an etching on silk in my attic. It is framed in a burled wood, the material is either gold silk or a gold silk-like paper. The matt is a matching gold. It has a signature on it that is hard to read. The signature looks like I or L, T or L Beurey? Does that ring any bells? It is kind of a scrawl. Can anyone help me? Thanks! MLS. I cannot attach a photo at this time, but will try to find the technology to do so.

This is MLS again, I just looked more carefully at the upper left hand corner of the picture and found in tiny, script the following: Copyrighted by Max Jacoby, New York, 1888. Does that help?
